Deborah Randall, Telehealth Consultant
Deborah Randall provides consulting services in the areas of telehealth, telemedicine, health information technology, remote monitoring, and related research.
Her consulting business is based in Poinciana, FL, but she travels around the country to work with clients and to present seminars addressing telehealth issues at conferences and meetings.
Experience and Knowledge
Ms. Randall has over 25 years of experience working in the health industry. As an attorney, she represented national and local health care systems, hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, homecare and long-term care providers, hospices, and community-based providers.
Ms. Randall has followed the developing field of health information technology as an outgrowth of HITECH and the health reform efforts of the Obama administration. She has attended the initial meetings of the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Technology [ONC]. She was selected as a Grant Reviewer for the ONC's $235 million BEACON projects. She has reviewed home telehealth network and license portability grants for the Health Resource and Services Administration.
To stay current with emerging issues in telehealth and telemedicine, Ms. Randall monitors and researches U.S and international law and policy, initiatives, and pilot projects. She attends educational conferences, seminars, and webinars. She is an active member and serves on committees of several telehealth-related organizations.
Ms. Randall is a member of the American Telemedicine Association. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Remote Monitoring Internet Group,
is a Chair of the Workgroup on Telehospice and Palliative Care, and participates in the Workgroup to Develop Standards in Urgent and Primary Care.
She is also a member of the Central Florida organizing division of the Florida Telehealth Workgroup (facilitated by the Southeastern Telehealth Resource Center).
